Barbon Manor is a short and very fast course in the north west of England, which opened for hillclimb events in 1950. The current outright hill record represents an average speed of more than 90mph, making it the fastest hillclimb in the country, despite the tricky Lafone corner just before the finish line. Barbon Manor is popular with both competitors, who enjoy the challenge of a fast course, and spectators, who can view the whole course.
